MET Gala 2018 - favourites to OTT

The first Monday in May brings the most famous faces from the realms of fashion, film, and music and art to the MET Gala, the biggest event on the fashion fundraising calendar. This year’s theme is Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination and we sure did see some interesting fashion creations.

We have put together our favourite gowns, hair and makeup and those that are just OTT from the MET Gala. Take a look and let us know who your favourite was.

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer stepped out in a completely bejewelled Balmain dress with the focus on the blue and red cross on the chest to embrace this year’s theme.

Jennifer’s hair and make up was absolutely divine. From top to bottom Jennifer Lopez looked stunning at this year’s Met Gala.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Rosie looked very angelic as she posed for cameras at this year’s Met Gala. She wore a jewelled gold caped gown by Ralph Lauren with a golden halo.

Rosie’s make up and hairstyle complimented her dress with her halo tucked into a sleek low-bun which looked very elegant.

Stella Maxwell

Stella was committed to this year’s theme in a Moschino dress covered in religious icons and finished her look with long wavy hair extensions. We loved this Angels look at this year’s Met Gala.

Blake Lively

Blake never seems to disappoint us when it comes to the Met Gala and this year her beautiful Versace dress took over 600 hours to make and she needed a bus just to transport her train but she looked amazing. Blake’s hair was pulled back in a messy bun finished with a golden halo headpiece.

Amanda Seyfried

Amanda looked like a goddess at the Met Gala with her hair looking full and luscious. If you want to create curls like Amanda our Glamoriser Autocurler will give you those curls at the touch of a button.

Kim Kardashian

Kimmy K – WOW!

Her body-hugging Versace gown sculpts her body perfectly and it features two crosses to keep up with this year’s theme. Her hair, make up and gown makes her look like a goddess.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry’s look is a little OTT even for the Met Gala. The wings are too much.

Sarah-Jessica Parker

SJP definitely embraced this year’s theme by wearing a nativity scene headpiece. Maybe a little OTT?

Can't wait to see what next year brings!
